7 reasons why the Vikings will beat the Falcons in Week 1

Kicking situation is figured out (maybe?)
During the last few seasons, the Vikings’ relationship with their kicking game hasn’t exactly caused head coach Mike Zimmer to smile from ear to ear. Instead, Minnesota has struggled to find any sort of consistency when it comes to their kicking situation in the recent past.
This year hasn’t been much different for the Vikings. Minnesota will enter Sunday’s matchup with the Falcons with a kicker, punter, long-snapper combo that hasn’t even worked together in an actual game yet.
Normally, this would be a cause for concern. But the experience level of the Vikings current kicker and punter could actually result in a positive outcome for once.
Especially with the recent addition of punter Britton Colquitt. In addition to his punting abilities, Colquitt is known to be a very good holder on field goal and extra point attempts.
Minnesota kicker Dan Bailey has already been benefitting from his new teammate’s holding skills in practice and the pair should be able to quiet some of their doubters this week against Atlanta.
