7 reasons why the Vikings will beat the Packers in Week 2

Cousins’ history vs. the Packers
During his time in the NFL, Kirk Cousins hasn’t always been able to produce the best results for his team. But whenever he’s had to face the Packers during the regular season, Cousins’ game jumps to a very high level for some reason.
In three starts against Green Bay since 2016, the current Vikings quarterback has completed, 73.3 percent of his passes, averaged 381 passing yards per game, thrown 10 touchdowns and only one interception, and finished each matchup with an average QB rating of 129.3.
Oh, and Cousins’ team has never lost a regular season matchup against the Packers with him starting under center.
His performances last year against Green Bay were even more impressive because their defense was actually pretty decent against the pass (12th). Still, Cousins was able to carve up the Packers’ defense in two matchups last season and there’s a good chance that he could do the same on Sunday as well.
