Vikings facing a weak Packers offensive line

Something that played a big part in the Vikings getting a win last week was the performance of their defensive line. Against Atlanta last Sunday, Minnesota’s pass rush was able to generate 19 pressures, tied for the most in the NFL according to Sportradar.

In Week 1, the Packers’ offensive line gave up a total of 15 pressures to the Bears’ defense, which included five sacks and seven quarterback hits.

With their performance last week and the fact that Green Bay starting left tackle David Bakhtiari is entering Sunday’s matchup with an injured back, the Vikings’ defense has to be uncontrollably salivating at the opportunity to get after Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers this week.

Minnesota was able to sack Rodgers eight times in their two meetings last season and a similar amount from the Vikings on Sunday certainly isn’t out of the question. If Green Bay’s offensive line thought they had trouble with Chicago’s pass rush last week, they’re in for an even tougher matchup on Sunday against Minnesota.
