Jacksonville Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey is looking to get traded elsewhere and the Minnesota Vikings reportedly have some interest in acquiring him.

Throughout his career on the NFL sidelines, current Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has developed into one of the best defensive minds in all of football. And when it comes to getting the most out of a defensive backfield, there may be no one who does it better than Zimmer.

Thanks to their head coach’s guidance, the Vikings have consistently had one of the league’s best pass defenses over the last few seasons.

Zimmer has worked with a number of very talented defensive backs during his coaching career including Deion Sanders, Darren Woodson, Terence Newman, Roy Williams, Adam “Pacman” Jones, Xavier Rhodes, and Harrison Smith.

According to a recent report, the Minnesota head coach may get the opportunity to work with another highly skilled cornerback in Jalen Ramsey. Currently with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ramsey has expressed his desire to be traded and some are reporting that his departure from the team could happen as soon as Friday.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson on Thursday, the Vikings are one of the teams from around the NFL that has shown a considerable amount of interest in acquiring the Jaguars’ All-Pro cornerback.

If this is the case and the asking price isn’t too steep, then there are a number of reasons why Minnesota should do whatever they can to add Ramsey to their current roster.
