Use the Bears’ aggressiveness against them

We mentioned before that Mack’s main role in the Bears defense is to get to the quarterback. While it’s sound to have your best defender sent like a torpedo toward the quarterback, it also makes the defense susceptible to quick hit plays and screens that could produce plenty of open space. One of the best ways to do this is to utilize Dalvin Cook where the Bears can’t get to him.

Cook comes into Sunday’s matchup as the NFL’s leading rusher with 375 yards on the ground through three games. While the Vikings have made a living off using Cook in the zone-rushing scheme, those lanes that Cook has enjoyed throughout the first three games may not be there on Sunday.

With that, it’s imperative that the Vikings get Cook into space to make plays. This can be done by using Cook in the passing game with quick screens and passes and could also extend out to Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen as they try to get yardage on quick hitters.

All of these things may be easier said than done, but a combination of tactics could be effective enough for the Vikings to neutralize Khalil Mack and give the Minnesota Vikings an upset victory in Chicago.
