Bears are coming off a short week

In Week 3, the world got to see the Bears have zero trouble with getting a road win over Case Keenum the Washington Redskins. Since the game took place on Monday night though, Chicago has had one less day than the Vikings to prepare for their Week 4 matchup.

It may not seem like a big difference, but it could turn into a significant factor in determining who leaves Soldier Field with a win on Sunday.

Since 2015, teams coming off a Monday night matchup have won their next game on short rest just 47 percent of the time. It’s not a tremendous advantage, but in a contest that is expected to be close this week, Minnesota will take all the help they can get.

It’s been a while since the Vikings have faced an opponent coming off a Monday night matchup during the previous week. In 2014, the Redskins took on Minnesota just six days after their previous game and the Vikings ended up coming out with a win.

Hopefully, this advantage produces a similar result for Minnesota in their matchup against Chicago on Sunday.
