Final Thoughts

It is easy to see why Stefon Diggs would be upset this season. His cryptic tweets have given fans some pause – but let’s not speculate anything just yet.

He has had his fair share of problems this season, from uncharacteristic drops to untimely fumbles. Kirk Cousins has had a hard time finding Diggs when he’s open and the C.J. Ham is getting more targets than he probably should. The Vikings offensive line has made life difficult for the offense in general and they are not allowing Cousins enough time to find his guys downfield.

Minnesota’s new and improved rushing attack has made the passing game a bit of a sidekick so far this season. The Vikings have also gotten off to two hot starts and focused on running the ball to run out the clock. As the season progresses, expect Minnesota to find more success through the air.

If Diggs wants more targets, the Vikings need to get him those targets. He is an electrifying receiver who has given his all for this franchise over the past few years.

Trade speculation will only continue until his role is expanded in 2019. Hopefully, Cousins and company can get things going in the right direction.
