Washington Redskins
Like the Jaguars, the Redskins also have a player who wants out who could also improve the Vikings’ roster in left tackle Trent Williams. So a deal between Minnesota and Washington is one of the few that could potentially be done in-season.
Speculation of Stefon Diggs going to the Redskins has been going on for a while now ever since his brother posted an image of the receiver in a Washington uniform on his Instagram account in March.
Diggs is from the Washington, D.C. area and he spent time this offseason working with current Redskins rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. So there are some connections between the two parties.
Washington can afford to take on Diggs’ current contract and Minnesota should be able to figure out a way to take on Williams’ deal as well if both players are included in a trade between the two teams.
The Vikings would probably want the Redskins to include an early-round draft pick in exchange for Diggs as well. However, Washington only has two selections in the first three rounds of the 2020 draft, so they might not be willing to part ways with one of these picks to land the Minnesota receiver.
