Garrett Bradbury – C

Garrett Bradbury got off to a hot start with the Minnesota Vikings this year. He impressed in minicamp and then went on to have a solid training camp and preseason.

Once the games started to count though, Bradbury began to struggle. It appears his struggles are getting worse with every NFL game he starts and his weekly performance is consistently amongst the lowest on the team.

Bradbury’s biggest issue is pass protection. He has had trouble holding up against some of the bigger nose tackles he’s faced.

Maurice Hurst from the Oakland Raiders was pushing him around in Week 3 and Nick Williams from the Chicago Bears, who isn’t even a starter, was blowing past Minnesota’s young rookie center and then destroying the team’s quarterback.

Bradbury has even struggled in the run game as of late. He is very good at getting down the field and making second-level blocks. He whiffed a few times against the Bears, however, and that lead to some of Dalvin Cook‘s runs getting snuffed out.

Bradbury also missed some key blocks that could’ve sprung a few screen passes last week. He has to first learn from the film and then play much more aggressively against the Giants this week.

The Vikings took Bradbury with the 18th pick for a reason this year and he needs to show them why he was worth that pick on Sunday in New York.
