5 Vikings players to watch in Week 5 vs. the Giants

What would a Vikings season be without a bunch of unnecessary drama? Stefon Diggs brought loads and loads of it to the Vikings this week.

It started with him missing practice and then holding an odd press conference where he concealed himself with his hoodie and then didn’t flat-out deny the rumors he wanted to be traded.

It’s unclear what is up with this guy, but he needs to look in the mirror. He has been part of the problem on offense this season and he is by no means playing up to the level he has in the past.

Diggs has had some uncharacteristic drops this year and he also had a costly fumble against the Bears last week. These were all game-changing types of mistakes and who knows how those games would’ve gone if he hangs on to the football.

Diggs is right to be frustrated though. The Vikings have tried so hard to improve the run game that they’ve basically abandoned the pass. This is having a negative effect on Kirk Cousins and clearly making Minnesota’s well-paid receivers upset.

There are better ways to go about it then whining to the media and putting cryptic tweets out there though. Diggs should keep all this in house and figure out how to fix the problem instead of making it worse by going public.

There is a question of whether or not Diggs will even play this week. Mike Zimmer was vague in his response on Friday when asked if Diggs would suit up against the Giants. If he does suit up what kind of Stefon Diggs will we see?

Will he be playing balls out and have a huge game? Or will he be disinterested, not give full effort, and sulk on the sidelines like a spoiled little diva? Tune in this Sunday to watch the drama unfold.
