After a drama-filled last few days, the Minnesota Vikings will be looking to quiet everything down by going out and getting a win over the New York Giants on Sunday.

It’s probably hard for some to believe, but the Minnesota Vikings have only played four games this season. With everything that has gone on with the team during the last few days, one would believe that the Vikings are nearing the end of another year without a playoff berth.

The circus really just couldn’t resist making an early appearance in the Twin Cities this season. Sitting with a 2-2 record though, Minnesota still has three quarters of their schedule left to play and plenty of time to earn a spot in the playoffs.

Judging by their opponent on Sunday, the New York Giants, this week might not seem like an important matchup for the Vikings. But given everything that has happened recently, a loss in New York could result in Minnesota’s season quickly spiraling out of control.

On paper, this week’s contest is a game the Vikings should win. But this doesn’t mean that the Giants can’t pull off an upset on Sunday.

Even with the chance of New York potentially coming out with a win, there are still plenty of reasons to believe that the Vikings will leave the field this week with their third victory of the season.
