Hunger to erase last week’s bad memories

Last week against the Chicago Bears, the Vikings had a big opportunity to show that they deserve to be considered among the best teams in the NFL. However, Minnesota had arguably their worst performance of the year last Sunday and it resulted in a divisional loss to the Bears.

Following the outcome in Chicago, a firestorm of drama took over the Vikings with some of their top offensive players being involved in the shenanigans.

Much of the focus switched to what was going on with Minnesota off of the field rather than what that they were actually doing on the field. This is something that no team wants to deal with and the Vikings’ season already has the makings of a disaster.

But a win over the Giants on Sunday would at least put Minnesota in more of a positive frame of mind. The Vikings need to have a performance in New York that makes last week’s disappointing results against the Bears a very distant memory.

Minnesota knows how talented their roster currently is, which is why last Sunday’s loss likely had a larger effect on the team than some would have expected. Don’t be surprised if the Vikings come out firing this week though and take out all of their recent frustrations out on the Giants.
