Cook is lethal as a receiver

Everyone is fully aware of how talented Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is. Cook is among the NFL’s top rushers this year and anytime he gets the ball handed off to him, he has the opportunity to break loose for a long touchdown run.

Well, on Sunday, the Minnesota running back proved that he can be just as dangerous as a receiver out of the backfield.

During the Vikings’ win over the Giants, Cook finished with six catches for 86 yards. His 86 receiving yards are the most by a Minnesota running back in a single game since Jerick McKinnon finished a matchup with 114 in 2017.

Cook also added 132 yards on the ground against New York on Sunday. He has now rushed for at least 110 yards in four of the Vikings’ five games this season.

Cook has proven over and over again this year that he is a beast when he gets the ball in his hands. When he has a performance like he did against the Giants, it’s hard for Minnesota to leave the field without a win.
