6 players the Vikings should consider trading before the deadline

Stefon Diggs – WR
After rumors of him wanting to be traded have been circulating around the NFL for the past few weeks, the Vikings have reportedly told other teams that Stefon Diggs is not going to be dealt anywhere this season.
This doesn’t mean that things can’t change between now and the October 29 trade deadline. But Minnesota would likely have to be blown away by an offer to send their talented receiver packing.
Still, trading Diggs may not be the worst idea in the world for the Vikings to consider. His departure would free up a bunch of cap space for Minnesota next year and that alone could be enticing enough to try and get a deal done.
With the Vikings’ current offensive scheme focusing more on their rushing attack, Diggs’ presence in the offense doesn’t really have the importance that it did in year’s past. He probably realized this after a few games and it is what ultimately led to the receiver skipping meetings and practice last week.
His trade value is also probably at the highest it may ever get. Based on his age and the numbers he has put up in his career so far, Minnesota getting and first or second-round draft pick in exchange for Diggs seems like a possibility.
The Vikings may currently claim that their talented receiver isn’t available in a trade. But if the right offer came across Rick Speilman’s desk during the next few weeks, he could have a hard time saying no.
