Vikings will have a tough time on the interior line

While we have five predictions in this piece, not all of them need to be positive ones. With that being said, it could be a long day upfront for the Vikings trying to contain Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham on the inside and that could be complicated by their current injury situation.

This week, the Vikings have been down in the trenches thanks to a foot injury to Josh Kline, who hasn’t practiced on Wednesday or Thursday. The performance of Garrett Bradbury has also been a disappointment, especially in pass protection with 13 pressures allowed in the first five games. Mix in a rough season from Pat Elflein at left guard and the Vikings could have issues.

That’s not a good thing with Cox and Graham coming to town. While the Eagles haven’t been able to generate a pass rush in terms of racking up sacks (13 on the season), they have a pair of pass-rushing defensive tackles that could create pressure up the middle with Cox ranking sixth among defensive tackles in Pro Football Focus’ pass-rushing productivity rating at 7.7 snaps per pressure.

In a perfect world, this is the game where the interior turns things around, but with a deep Philly defensive line, that could be easier said than done.
