A showdown between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 brings to mind the last time these two teams faced off on the football field.

The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off on Sunday inside U.S. Bank Stadium. Both teams are currently 3-2 and coming off victories last week and the Eagles are on a two-game winning streak.

The last time these two teams faced each other came just last season. The Vikings won 23-21 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. Certainly, it was a much different result from what happened there during the previous year (we won’t dive too much into that).

Kirk Cousins went 30-for-37 for 301 yards and a touchdown. Stefon Diggs had 10 receptions for 91 yards and Adam Thielen had seven receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Linval Joseph recorded a sack and managed to return a fumble 64 yards the other way for a Minnesota touchdown. Danielle Hunter and Stephen Weatherly also each recorded a sack.

Dan Bailey went 3-for-5 on his field goal attempts, but his last made field goal of 52 yards proved to be enough for the Vikings to pull off the win over the Eagles.

For Philadelphia, Carson Wentz went 24-for-35 for 311 yards and two touchdowns. Eagles tight end Zach Ertz had 10 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.

With the win, Minnesota improved to 2-2-1 and they eventually finished 8-7-1 on the season.

Sunday’s matchup will be a tough game for the Vikings, but one that they have a good shot in, especially since it is a home game and Minnesota is typically a good home team.

Winning this week’s matchup against Philadelphia would bring the Vikings’ record to 4-2 and help them keep pace in the very tough NFC North. It could also be the beginning of a nice winning streak. Expect it to be a close and entertaining game on Sunday.

Prediction: Vikings win 24-17
