Vikings to sit in Week 6:

Dalvin Cook – RB

Dalvin Cook, a sit this week? Well, you probably won’t keep him out of your lineup just on the sheer fact that he is second in the league in rushing. He’s looked great so far through five weeks and could arguably be considered the early favorite for fantasy MVP. However, the Eagles run defense is ferocious.

Philadelphia is the top fantasy team when it comes to stopping the run this season. Could Cook salvage his week with 50 yards and a touchdown? Sure. But we need to temper our expectations when putting the running back into our lineups this week.

Eagles to sit in Week 6:

Carson Wentz – QB

Carson Wentz has been much less than fantastic since starting the season. In Week 1, he threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns. Since then, however, he has seen his production take a steady decline.

That very well might continue this week against a very tough Minnesota defense. The Vikings have seen the return of Mike Hughes prove to be big for them and with the secondary playing solid, there’s no sure thing that Wentz puts up the points fantasy owners will be hoping for.

Jordan Howard – RB

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has said that the team wants to get Jordan Howard more touches this year. That should be good for his production if he wasn’t playing Minnesota’s defense.

Howard gets a tough matchup this week against a team that has allowed only one running back to produce more than 14 fantasy points in a game this season. You might be excited to start Howard with what he’s done lately, but park him on the bench if you can this week.

Alshon Jeffery – WR

With Wentz likely to have a down game, this means Alshon Jeffery is just as likely to not produce how you would expect. He likely will get shadowed by Xavier Rhodes and if he isn’t, Trae Waynes has the length and speed to match up with him as well.

light. Trending. 6 players the Vikings should consider trading before the deadline

Watch for the Eagles to use their tight ends more this week and stray away from their big receiving target.
