The Minnesota Vikings have a big game coming up this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Who are five Vikings to watch closely in this matchup?

This Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings have a pretty big game against the Philadelphia Eagles inside U.S. Bank Stadium. Both teams currently sit at 3-2 and while it is early in the season, the winner of this game could hold a tiebreaker advantage when it comes down to figuring out the NFC playoff picture later this year.

The Vikings are coming off a big win over the New York Giants in Week 5. They went on the road and played their most complete game of the year. The offense was humming in both the passing and running game, the defense was aggressive and held tough when it needed to the most, and even Dan Bailey was solid, hitting all of his field goals and extra-point attempts.

The Eagles are coming off 31-6 dismantling of the other New York team, the Jets last week. Philadelphia’s defense was on fire, getting 10 sacks and shutting down the Jets’ injury-riddled offensive attack. The Eagles’ offense moved the ball with ease and got help from another solid performance on the ground from running back Jordan Howard.

These two teams are having similar types of seasons and match up well against each other. The Eagles have advantages in some areas and the Vikings have advantages in others.

So when everyone takes the field on Sunday, who are five Minnesota players to watch that will be key to the Purple squeaking out a victory this week?
