Cousins’ past success vs. the Eagles

A big factor in the outcome of Sunday’s game will likely be the performance of Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Cousins looked impressive last week against a terrible Giants defense. But is what he did in New York an indication of him getting back on track after looking pretty underwhelming in Minnesota’s four other games this season?

This week, Cousins will be facing a familiar opponent in the Eagles. Since the quarterback used to play on a team that was a member of the NFC East division with Philadelphia, he’s gone up against the Vikings’ Week 6 opponent eight times in the last five years.

Cousins has actually performed very well against the Eagles during his NFL career. Since 2015, the Minnesota quarterback has led his team to five wins in seven matchups while throwing for 13 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

His success in the past against Philadelphia is something that should give Cousins enough confidence to lead the Vikings to a victory on Sunday.
