Minnesota Vikings MVPs: Week 6 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
By Adam Carlson
Defensive MVP – Eric Kendricks, linebacker
There might not be a linebacker in the league playing better football than Eric Kendricks. Another week brought another great performance, giving hopes that he will get a Pro Bowl and All-Pro nod this season.
Week 6 found him tying for the tops on the team in tackles, bringing ten total players down with eight of them being solo. He’s been an absolute tackling machine, not missing very many takedowns at all.
Kendricks added two pass breakups and half a sack on the day, showcasing how he can do anything Mike Zimmer asks of him. Whether he is asked to play the run, drop back in coverage, or go after the passer, he can do it with great authority.
Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr have been a winning combination for the Vikings defense for many years now, especially when paired with a strong pass rush and a capable secondary. The duo should continue to wreak havoc on opposing offenses for a long time.
Who do you think was the MVP on offense and defense from Week 6 against the Eagles. And which other Minnesota Vikings deserve recognition for their efforts? Let us know your opinion in the comments section!
