Stefon Diggs – WR

Like Kirk Cousins, it was hard to put Stefon Diggs on this list after his recent huge game. He exploded against the Eagles for 167 yards and three touchdowns, but what makes Diggs disappointing this season is his attitude.

Diggs was always seen as a team player who puts winning above his personal stats. That facade has disappeared this season after the receiver made his frustrations with the offense public.

He skipped some meetings and practices which resulted in him being heavily fined by Minnesota. Diggs also held an awkward press conference where he flat out didn’t deny his request to be traded. Apparently, he was frustrated that the Vikings’ offense was so run-heavy early in the season.

It was really disappointing to see this happen. Diggs became a distraction to the team and he has now fallen into that diva receiver grouping. Hopefully, this is all behind him and it probably helps that Minnesota is winning, but it is still upsetting that this ever happened.

On top of the attitude, Diggs has also had some uncharacteristic drops this season. He had a few big ones against the Packers in Week 2 and then he had a costly fumble during the Vikings’ loss to the Bears in Week 4. Even during his huge game in Week 6 against Philadelphia, Diggs had two bad drops, including one that led to an Andrew Sendejo interception.

Diggs likely won’t be on this list at season’s end, but for nearly the first half of the year, the attitude and the drops make him a very disappointing player.
