This Cousins guy is pretty good

The pitchforks haven’t been getting much use during the Vikings’ last three games as Kirk Cousins has been doing his best impression of the Human Torch.

After putting up two-straight performances with at least 300 passing yards and two touchdowns, some wondered how Cousins would fare against a talented Lions secondary this week. Well, it didn’t take long for the Vikings quarterback to pick up right where he left off from last Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

During Minnesota’s win over Detroit, Cousins completed 70.6 percent of his passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns. With his numbers on Sunday, the Minnesota quarterback has now thrown for at least 300 yards in three-straight games, something he hasn’t done since 2015 when he was with the Washington Redskins.

Cousins’ doubters were expecting him to fail on Sunday after he torched two pretty terrible pass defenses during the Vikings’ two previous games. However, the Minnesota quarterback came to play in Detroit and at least for one more week, his critics don’t have much material to work with.
