Kirk Cousins – QB

After a slow, and disappointing start to the 2019 season, Kirk Cousins is suddenly on fire, and all his haters on social media have become really quiet. Cousins is locked in right now. He’s making accurate throws, taking deep shots down the field, and being very smart with the football. He’s playing some of the best football of his career. This week he faces not just his former team, but one of the thorns in the side of his career.

Kirk Cousins and the Vikings play in a prime time game this Thursday night. When the lights are brightest isn’t usually when Kirk Cousins shines. He is 6-13 in his career in primetime games. That isn’t good. Who knows what the reason is for this, whether it’s the added pressure of a nationwide audience watching on TV or just the change in routine, Cousins just isn’t good in these situations.

His opponent this week is soft and that should help, but the Vikings can’t overlook this team. They have some former Vikings like Case Keenum and Adrian Peterson who are going to be giving it their all and will try to will the massive underdog Redskins to a victory. Cousins just needs to keep playing the way he has and his record in primetime contests should improve.
