Minnesota will win their fourth straight game

Normally, I err on the side of caution when making predictions. But with the Vikings and Redskins going in opposite directions, there’s just no need to be conservative here.

Minnesota played lights out during their first three games at U.S. Bank Stadium this year and with Washington’s inability to stop the run (or anything else for that matter), there’s every reason to think this game could get as ugly as the Primetime Purple jerseys that the Vikings are going to break out for this one (which look oddly similar to the Color Rush jerseys, but I digress).

The Redskins are a mess and with Jay Gruden already falling on the knife, there’s a good chance that Washington is already trying just to ride out the rest of the season. That makes them the perfect prey for Minnesota at home. The Vikings have a great chance to get an early lead on Thursday night and proceed to ride things out from there.

They may not need Kirk Cousins to have his fourth-straight 300-yard game, but the Vikings should win this one handily, improving to 6-2 and having a long week to prepare for their next matchup on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Prediction: Vikings 34, Redskins 7
