After another amazing performance in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is adding to his accolades.

Dalvin Cook has been a massive asset for the Minnesota Vikings this season. Through seven weeks, the running back is leading the league in rushing and has been a major factor in the outcome of every game.

In one of his best performances so far, Cook ran for a league-leading 142 yards on 25 rushing attempts (5.7 yards per carry) and a pair of touchdowns against the Detroit Lions in Week 7, earning him a nomination for FedEx Ground Player of the Week.

Well, the fans have spoken and Cook has brought home his second Ground Player of the Week for the 2019 NFL season, making him the only rusher so far to get more than one award.

The Vikings confirmed the win on their official Twitter account:

In addition to bragging rights for the win, FedEx will donate $2,000 to The USO in Cook’s name for bringing home the Ground Player of the Week award. While it’s nice to get one-up on others in your field, it has to feel really rewarding for Cook to earn that donation to the USO in his name for the second time.

While Cook was able to win his award, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was not able to get a win in the Air Player of the Week category. Cousins was beaten out by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who put together a great game in Week 7 and is well-deserving of the award from FedEx.

Congratulations go out to Dalvin Cook on winning his second FedEx Ground Player of the Week award this season and hopefully he will receive many more nominations for his great play with the Minnesota Vikings over the course of the 2019 NFL season.
