Diggs steps up in Thielen’s absence

Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs make up arguably the best receiving duo in the entire NFL. They’re both very talented as individuals, but together they make life extremely difficult for opposing defenses.

Unfortunately, the Vikings had to take the field without Thielen on Thursday against the Redskins. The Minnesota receiver hurt his hamstring during the team’s win last week and he was ruled out for the matchup with Washington.

Knowing this, many figured the Redskins would put a lot of attention on Diggs, and they did. But it didn’t matter.

Against Washington, the Vikings receiver hauled in all seven of his targets for an impressive 143 yards. It is the third week in a row Diggs has finished a game with at least 140 receiving yards.

Diggs has been on fire in Minnesota’s last three matchups and it’s even resulted in him setting the franchise’s new record for the most total receiving yards in a three-game span at 452. Some guy named Randy Moss used to hold the record, you might have heard of him.

Now if Diggs could only find a cure for his current case of fumblitis.
