At the halfway point of their 2019 season, which Minnesota Vikings players are currently in the running to be this year’s team MVP?
Eight games into their 2019 season, the Minnesota Vikings are sitting at 6-2. They are currently on a four-game winning streak and they are playing well on both sides of the ball.
With it essentially being the midpoint of the season, let’s take some time to step back and look at this team as a whole.
One can see where the weaknesses are on the Vikings’ offense this year. Clearly, the left side of the offensive line sticks out, specifically Pat Elflein at the left guard position. Defensively, Minnesota’s biggest area of weakness has been in the secondary, with Xavier Rhodes playing well below the standard he has set for himself during the last few seasons.
We can also tell where the Vikings’ strengths are, which players are thriving, and which are playing above the levels that were expected of them. A lot of Minnesota’s players have been doing this, which is why the team is currently 6-2 and in a very good position to make a playoff push the second half of the season.
The Vikings still have eight games to go on their schedule and a lot could change between now and the end of the year. That being said, who are five Minnesota players currently in the running to be named the team’s MVP at the end of the season.
