Vikings will improve to 7-2

This is a hard game to predict for the Vikings. On one hand, it feels like a trap game heading into one of the toughest stadiums in the NFL and while Kirk Cousins has been playing out of his mind recently, this is a scenario in which it would be easy to see him having one of his “Bad Kirk” games in front of a sea of red.

On the other hand, the Chiefs have way too much going on to stay in this game. Both Frank Clark and Alex Okafor will be out up front for the Chiefs and although Breshaud Breeland has been torched so far this year, his shoulder injury could allow Stefon Diggs and/or Adam Thielen to run free all afternoon long.

The stature of this game changes completely if Patrick Mahomes makes his return. But in the end, the Vikings just have more healthy bodies to take home a win at Arrowhead.

If Minnesota can establish the run, get to Matt Moore and not make stupid mistakes, the Vikings should be able to take home a win and head into a big NFC showdown with Dallas with a 7-2 record and be in control of a crowded NFC playoff picture.

Prediction: Vikings 31, Chiefs 17
