Now eight games into their 2019 season, which six players for the Minnesota Vikings deserve to be recognized as the absolute best of the best?

Before their Week 1 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, expectations were pretty high for the Minnesota Vikings. They maybe were not as high as they were heading into the 2018 season, but many still believed the Vikings had a legitimate chance to be a contender in the NFC this year.

Minnesota went on to thrash the Falcons (just like most teams so far this year) and the eyebrows started to raise a bit. But then the Vikings dropped two of their next three matchups, including two against NFC North opponents, and the doubts about their chance for success in 2019 started to take center stage.

Instead of listening to the outside noise and giving up on the season after just four games, however, Minnesota’s locker room grew stronger and they have now put together four straight victories.

With the first half of their schedule now complete, the Vikings are sitting with a 6-2 record and they have as good a shot as any to contend in the NFC this year.

Minnesota’s success in 2019 has been due to the efforts of a number of players on their roster. Some have had a good game or two this season, while others have been playing at a high level each and every week the Vikings have stepped onto the field.

So after Minnesota’s first eight games this year, which six players from their current roster have stood out from the rest?
