Vikings to start in Week 9:

Dalvin Cook – RB

There’s no hiding how good Dalvin Cook has been this year. We all knew he had this kind of talent it just took until his third year in the NFL to prove correct. He currently leads the NFL in rushing yards with 823. You can put in it in permanent marker that this week will be one of Cook’s biggest games. This Chiefs defense struggles in many aspects of the game, but in this specific instance, it’s the running game. They’ve allowed the second-most rushing yards this year with 1,160 yards allowed. Cook will be taking advantage of that.

Stefon Diggs – WR

Stefon Diggs has been on an absolute tear these last three weeks. He and Kirk Cousins have hooked up for 452 passing yards, three touchdowns and 21 catches on 26 targets. With the Chiefs offense struggling in the passing game as well, this could very well be another week that Diggs exploits a defense. Ever since the incident with him earlier on in the year, things have seemed to gel with Cousins. Expect that to continue going forward into this week and beyond.

Adam Thielen – WR

Adam Thielen left Sunday’s game against the Lions due to a hamstring injury. He then missed their next game on Thursday night against the Redskins. That could have been more precautionary than anything considering they were playing on a short week and it was an easy matchup. Nonetheless, Thielen should be back on the field this week and you’ll be able to trust him. The Chiefs secondary and specifically in the slot will have a very difficult time matching up with Thielen.

Chiefs to start in Week 9:

Tyreek Hill – WR

We all know Tyreek Hill has wheels. His speed makes him a matchup nightmare for not just the Vikings, but any team. This week is going to be a tough week for the Vikings secondary who have struggled in the last couple of weeks. Xavier Rhodes has looked bad. Trae Waynes have been average. Their play is going to affect how well the Vikings are able to keep him in check. It should be a shootout type of game whether Matt Moore or Patrick Mahomes play, and expect Hill to get some large chunks.

Mecole Hardman – WR

Keeping up with the speed of Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman is going to be very tough for the Vikings this week. This entire offense has weapons on it and Minnesota will have to pick which one to take away. Unfortunately, the Vikings may not have the speed to keep up with these guys and guys like Hill and Hardman could have big games. If you’re in a pinch this week, think about adding Mecole Hardman to your fantasy football lineups.

Travis Kelce – TE

Travis Kelce is going to be a handful for guys like Erik Kendricks, Anthony Barr, or either one of our safeties. Jaron Kearse would be nice to have out there covering the big athletic tight end, but with the recent run-in with the law, it doesn’t appear we will have his services for a while. Either way, Kelce is a fantastic play week in and week out so expect more of the same from the elite tight end.
