Offensive MVP – Kirk Cousins, quarterback

First, let’s get something out of the way. This was not a great game from Kirk Cousins in terms of consistency and accuracy. He only completed half of his passes on the day, with 19 of his 38 passes being incomplete. But there were some really good things he did in this game.

However, it can’t be overlooked at how bad the team’s run game was. Coming into this game, the Chiefs had the third-worst run defense in the league, but when Cook and the Vikings running backs couldn’t get going, the game fell on Kirk’s shoulder.

Kirk threw three touchdowns on the day. The most remarkable of them all was an absolute dart into a small window which was hauled in by tight end Kyle Rudolph. That was a big-time throw at a clutch time.

Cousins also threw touchdowns to Ameer Abdullah and Bisi Johnson on a day when he didn’t have Adam Thielen available and Stefon Diggs was invisible. Oh, and not to mention things like Pat Elflein being backed right into him again for a sack.
