The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver sat out practice on Thursday with a knee injury and there’s a possibility that he might not play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

For Sunday night’s big matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, the Minnesota Vikings already know they likely won’t have the services of wide receiver Adam Thielen. Currently, dealing with a hamstring injury, Thielen hasn’t practiced this week and the Vikings will probably just keep him on the sidelines in Dallas.

On the other side of their field, however, the Cowboys might be without one of their top receivers as well for Sunday night.

Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper didn’t practice on Thursday as he’s currently dealing with a knee injury. After sustaining the injury on Monday against the New York Giants, Cooper underwent an MRI on Wednesday and his status for Dallas’ matchup with Minnesota is now up in the air.

Despite his injury keeping him out of practice on Thursday, the Cowboys are reportedly still optimistic that their top receiver can play on Sunday night against the Vikings.

If Cooper doesn’t play though, that would seem like a big break for Minnesota. He currently leads Dallas in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns and he is a very important part of the team’s offense each week.

The Cowboys still have other offensive weapons on their roster (Ezekiel Elliott, Jason Witten), but not having Cooper on Sunday would definitely be a blow to their chances of beating the Vikings on Sunday.

If he practices on Friday, then it seems more likely that he will suit up against Minnesota. Even if does practice though, Dallas may still consider Cooper to be a game-time decision.

light. Trending. Should the Vikings try to sign Dez Bryant?

This is something the Vikings will definitely be paying close attention to leading up to kickoff on Sunday.
