The injury report for the Week 10 game between the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys has been released and a star wide receiver will be sitting it out.
The Minnesota Vikings will face off against a tough opponent in Week 10 on Sunday Night Football but hope to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the final moments last week.
Dallas has a ton of great weapons both offensively and defensively, with the team being able to put it all together on several occasions to earn a 5-3 record at this point of the season. Meanwhile, the purple and gold also sit with three blemishes on the record to go with six victories.
This primetime affair should draw in a lot of viewers, but sadly two starters will be on the sidelines for Minnesota. Here is the official injury report as shared on the team’s official website:
Minnesota Vikings
RULED OUT
- Linval Joseph, defensive tackle – knee
- Andrew Sendejo, safety – groin
- Adam Thielen, wide receiver – hamstring
DOUBTFUL
- – none –
QUESTIONABLE
- Trae Waynes, cornerback – ankle
- Stephen Weatherly, defensive end – groin
All three phases of the game will be impacted by these losses. Of course, Adam Thielen can be considered the heart and soul of the Minnesota offense with how hard he plays on every down. His crisp route running, great hands, and non-stop motor make him a valuable asset, and his absence means Stefon Diggs, Bisi Johnson, and Laquon Treadwell will need to step up in a big way.
The Vikings will also miss the anchor in the middle of the team’s defensive line. Linval Joseph is a difference-maker and now that responsibility will lie with Jaleel Johnson. Hopefully, he can do an admirable job against a good Cowboys offensive line.
Meanwhile, Andrew Sendejo recently rejoined the team but he is an excellent special teams player and will give great depth safety when available. But for now, he needs to heal up.
Dallas Cowboys
RULED OUT
- Cameron Fleming, offensive tackle – calf
DOUBTFUL
- – none –
QUESTIONABLE
- Amari Cooper, wide receiver – knee/ankle
If Cooper can’t go, that will be a huge loss for Dallas. He and quarterback Dak Prescott have quite the rapport and those two have been known to take great advantage of defenses that attempt to cue in on the running game of Ezekiel Elliot.
With this being a prime time game against a team with a winning record where the team is short-handed, the Minnesota Vikings will definitely have their hands full against the Cowboys in Week 10. Hopefully, the healthy players can step up for the purple and gold on Sunday night!
