The Minnesota Vikings have a big NFC showdown with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, so we made some predictions as to what could go down.

The Minnesota Vikings really need a win this week. After raising the blood pressure of the Vikings fan base on Sunday in a loss to the Chiefs, Minnesota is in the thick of the NFC playoff race as they look to catch the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North lead and the Seattle Seahawks for the fifth seed. The Vikings also have to worry about Carolina and Los Angeles, who both sit behind the 6-3 Vikings with a 5-3 record.

Their opponent, the Dallas Cowboys, find themselves in the same boat. Playing in the woeful NFC East, the Cowboys have been able to take advantage of their soft schedule to post a 5-3 record. While Dallas isn’t in the same critical situation as the Vikings, they still would like to hold off the Philadelphia Eagles for the division title as it may be their only ticket to the playoffs.

When two teams with their eyes on the playoffs matchup, it can often lead to an unpredictable, but fun game. With Adam Thielen and Amari Cooper possibly missing this game, it could also mean that both teams will have to get creative in order to take advantage of opposing defenses.

With that, we’ll take a look at this week’s matchup and see whether the Vikings can pull one out in Dallas or if they will be coming back home to Minnesota with plenty of question marks.
