Vikings defensive line has a chance to feast

For the past few seasons, the Cowboys’ offensive line has emerged as one of the NFL’s top units. Full of Pro Bowlers and All-Pros, the Dallas blockers should present a big challenge for the Vikings’ defensive line.

However, a few of the Cowboys’ offensive linemen are currently dealing with injuries and this could lead to Minnesota’s pass rushers getting some great opportunities on Sunday night.

Right tackle La’el Collins (knee), left tackle Tyron Smith (ankle), and right guard Zack Martin (back/ankle) were all only limited participants in each of Dallas’ practices this week. Each of these three linemen are scheduled to start against the Vikings on Sunday, but their blocking abilities could be affected by their injuries.

With some of their top pass blockers hurting, the Cowboys’ matchup against a talented Minnesota defensive line could be even more difficult. Especially since the Vikings are coming off a game in which they racked up a total of five sacks against the Chiefs.

Minnesota pass rushers Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen need to take advantage of their ailing opponents this week and if they can, the Vikings’ chances of coming away with a win seem much more likely.
