Josh Gordon – WR

Minnesota will need to get creative during the upcoming offseason to clear cap space and one way in which they could generate some room would be to get Stefon Diggs off the books.

Diggs has already fueled rumors of his desire to be elsewhere earlier this year and dealing him in 2020 would give the Vikings a good amount of spending money that they can use for other areas of their roster. If Minnesota made the tough decision to deal the young receiver, they could look to free agency and sign Josh Gordon to fill the void on their receiver depth chart.

Gordon’s career in the NFL has been full of ups and downs and he’s still hoping to re-emerge as one of the league’s top receivers again.

After getting traded for the second time in two years, he’s now currently a member of the Seattle Seahawks. Gordon was with the New England Patriots for his first six games of the season and he caught 20 passes for 287 yards and one touchdown.

Keeping Diggs would obviously be the better decision for the Vikings to make in 2020. But if Minnesota actually does decide to go full Percy Harvin on their top receiver during the upcoming offseason and send him packing, Gordon would be a good option to bring in as Adam Thielen’s new partner in crime.
