Anthony Castonzo – LT

Current Vikings left tackle Riley Reiff is still under contract through 2021, but his cap hit is also going to be over $13 million in each of his final two years. With the way Reiff has been played during his tenure with Minnesota, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s a cap casualty during the upcoming offseason.

Plus, if the Vikings are willing to pay that kind of money to their left tackle, they might as well give it a guy who would be worth it. Someone like current Indianapolis Colts tackle Anthony Castonzo would be a much better option than Reiff for Minnesota on the left side of their offensive line in 2020.

Currently 31-years-old, Castonzo is scheduled to be a free agent during the upcoming offseason and he should be one of the Vikings’ top targets. He’s actually older than Reiff, but he has proven to be a much better blocker than Minnesota’s current starting left tackle.

The 6-foot-7, 307-pound Castonzo has been a full-time starter for the majority of his career in Indianapolis and he’s developed into one of the best in the NFL at his position.

He’s going to arguably be the top left tackle available in free agency in 2020, so the chances of some team potentially giving him more than he’s worth seems likely. Hopefully, the Vikings would be able to somehow convince Castonzo to join their roster without having to break the bank.
