Jack Doyle – TE

Even though he’s started to pick up his play during the last few games, Kyle Rudolph still hasn’t proven that he deserves to be one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL next season.

If the Vikings are interested in finding a less-expensive option at tight end instead of Rudolph next year, Jack Doyle could be someone that they bring in. Doyle might even be an upgrade over Minnesota’s current veteran tight end.

Like Rudolph, Doyle has been a big red zone weapon during his career with the Indianapolis Colts. Since entering the league in 2014, the current Colts tight end has hauled in a total of 17 touchdowns and only one of them has been a gain of more than 20 yards.

In addition to his contributions in the passing game, Doyle is also one of the NFL’s top blocking tight ends. The price difference in having him instead of Rudolph potentially wouldn’t be that large, but the difference in talent would be.
