Lock: Eric Kendricks, linebacker

The NFL has a lot of great linebackers who are playing at a high level but when talking about the elite in the league this year, fans would be remiss not to talk about the incredible season that Eric Kendricks is having.

In Mike Zimmer’s defense, Kendricks has been able to do everything asked of him. Whether he’s in run support, pass coverage, or rushing the passer, Kendricks has been a difference-maker in many games.

Entering Week 11, Kendricks is ninth among linebackers in total tackles and fourth in solo tackles. The job of the Vikings defense is to limit yards after the catch, and the surefire tackling of their middle linebacker is a huge reason the team is having the success they are.

With only four inside linebackers making the Pro Bowl, the competition is tough. Familiar names like Luke Kuechly of the Panthers and Bobby Wagner of the Seahawks could be top vote-getters, but expect to see Kendricks in his first Pro Bowl ever.
