Cousins is in a zone

Last year, Kirk Cousins put up some pretty impressive numbers (4,298 passing yards, 30 touchdowns). But this season, Cousins has just taken his play to a whole different level.

He’s still on pace to finish the year with some great passing numbers (4,007 yards, 31 touchdowns), but the Vikings quarterback is also on pace to end 2019 with some career-best marks in other more important categories.

His current yards per pass attempt average (8.6), touchdown percentage (6.6), and passer rating (114.8) are all higher than what he has ever finished with during a full 16-game season. Cousins’ interception percentage (0.9) is also at a career-low level.

Unlike last year, he seems much more comfortable in a Minnesota uniform this season. Whether it’s the Vikings’ new offensive scheme or him having another year to gel with the team’s top offensive weapons, Cousins is giving Minnesota their money’s worth this season.
