With the Minnesota Vikings heading into an offseason where they will need to get creative to make cap space, some notable names could be on their way out.

Whenever the 2019 season eventually comes to an end for the Minnesota Vikings, it will be the last time a number of their players will be putting on their uniform. This happens every year, however, some of the guys who could be gone in 2020 are some of the most notable names on the Vikings’ current roster.

Minnesota is heading into an offseason in which they are going to need clear a bunch of cap space just to afford their incoming rookie class. With the players they currently have under contract through next year, the Vikings are projected to begin the 2020 offseason more than $1.3 million over the salary cap.

Thanks to their lack of expected spending money, some of the veterans on Minnesota’s current roster who are scheduled to have large cap hits next year could potentially be playing in the middle of their final season in purple and gold.

Some of these departures are going to be difficult to make. But at the end of the day, the Vikings have to do what is best for their team moving forward. So of the players on Minnesota’s current roster, which guys have a realistic chance to no longer be with the team in 2020?
