Stefon Diggs

Let’s be clear, Stefon Diggs is more of a Cornish Game Hen than a turkey. He’s found his groove the last month or so and with Thielen out with that hamstring injury, has clearly become the big play weapon for the Vikings offense.

The reason he’s on this list is that he’s been showing some traits of a diva this season and it makes him look like that goofy bird we all feast on. Earlier in the season, it was the whole trade rumors and awkward press conference where he didn’t deny those rumblings. He took stuff (like the play of the quarterback and the offense in general) to the public when it should have been kept in-house.

He’s been better lately but still shows some odd behavior here and there. He will show quite visibly and sometimes audibly when he’s upset with the offense. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything in interviews and will place the blame where he feels it needs to be.

Diggs also does little things on the field. He caught the big touchdown against Denver and then waves goodbye to the defensive back who is chasing him down. Luckily he wasn’t flagged for taunting on that play. Earlier in the season in Green Bay, he took his helmet off on the field and cost his team a penalty. He also is quite vocal on the sidelines and even was seen swatting his quarterback below the belt.

These are minor things, and really not unexpected behavior for a star receiver. Diggs has been playing great and any Vikings fan will accept his turkey-ish behavior as long as he keeps making the big plays.
