The best rivalry in college football is back this weekend. The Ohio State Buckeyes look to stay dominant as they chase a National Championship. They have the toughest defense in college football, largely in part for their depth at all three levels.

Redshirt sophomore Shaun Wade has emerged as a first-round cornerback prospect for 2020. His play of late is telling of his potential at the next level.

Vikings fans are fully aware of the struggles the team has faced at cornerback this season. Xavier Rhodes has fallen off a cliff, while neither Trae Waynes or Mackensie Alexander are under contract next year. There is no doubt in my mind that Minnesota will make changes at the position before the 2020 season begins.

Wade is likely going to land at the end of the first round in 2020. He has emerged as a dominant force for the Buckeyes this season with great ball skills and an aggressive nature. In 10 games, Wade has 3.0 TFLs, 2.0 sacks, an interception, and seven passes defended. He added three interceptions and seven pass breakups as a freshman last year.

The 6-foot-1 corner has length and ball skills that NFL scouts crave. This final stretch of the season will draw him a ton of attention. Minnesota should be keeping a very close eye on Wade.
