Kirk Cousins – QB

Kirk Cousins has been playing out of his mind for the last few weeks. In the last three games, alone, he’s thrown for nearly 800 yards and eight touchdowns. He has been smart with the football and has made some extremely accurate throws.

Cousins has become the franchise quarterback the Vikings thought they signed in 2018 and he even willed the team to a comeback victory in their last game against the Broncos.

He has played so well in recent weeks that he’s even got himself into this season’s MVP discussion. That is something he is unlikely to win with the way Lamar Jackson is playing, but the fact that Cousins is even brought up when the award is talked about is a major accomplishment.

Cousins also is 2-0 in primetime this season. He helped Minnesota beat the Washington Redskins at home in Week 8 and then the Vikings were victorious in Dallas against the Cowboys on a Sunday night in Week 10.

What Cousins still has never done in his career is lead a team to a win on a Monday night. He’ll get his chance this week against the Seahawks.

It’ll be interesting to see if Cousins can stay hot after the break. It looks like he’ll have his favorite target back in Adam Thielen, so that’ll help. If Cousins continues his hot play, Minnesota’s chances of winning in Seattle are very high.
