Dalvin Cook – RB

There are a few reasons to watch the Vikings star running back closely this Monday night against the Seahawks.

First of all, he is nursing a chest injury. Cook injured his chest on the two-point conversion attempt against the Broncos. He was seen favoring his shoulder and chest area on the sidelines after the failed attempt, but he continued to play through it. Apparently the injury has cost him some practice time this week, but his rest is likely the team is just being cautious.

We’ll see if Cook favors his injury during the game or loses some of his burst and drive when hitting the holes and trying to bust through tacklers. It would be a real shame to have him miss time due to injury again, especially when he is having such an amazing season.

Second of all, Cook is coming off a bad game. He had just 26 yards on 11 attempts against the Broncos. He did get at touchdown and added five receptions for 31 yards, but finding room to run was very tough for Cook the last time the Vikings were on the field. A lot of that has to do with the offensive line, but Cook should come out motivated and want to put that poor performance behind him on Monday night.
