Week 14

vs. Detroit Lions

Prediction: Win

This is the matchup that might have resulted in an expected loss for the Vikings in year’s past. However, Minnesota has hopefully learned to not take any opponent lightly after their narrow win over the Denver Broncos in Week 11.

Helping the Vikings’ chances in this Week 14 game is the fact that the Lions will likely be without Matthew Stafford starting under center. Stafford has missed four matchups this year due to injury and there hasn’t been much to indicate that he’ll be returning to the field anytime soon.

Detroit is also in the middle of a bad losing streak. The Lions have lost their last five games and they have only one win since Week 4.

Despite all of their losses this season, Detroit has managed to keep most of their contests fairly close. But there still aren’t many reasons to believe that it won’t be Minnesota walking off the field with a win over the Lions in Week 14.

Vikings record after Week 14: 9-4
