Too many turnovers

The first takeaway of the night is about, well, takeaways. There were a total of five during Monday night’s game and the Vikings had too many (three) to come away with a road win over one of the best teams in the NFL.

It wasn’t just that Minnesota turned the ball over three times in Seattle, it was the nature and timing of these turnovers that made them even tougher for the Vikings to overcome.

Minnesota’s first two turnovers of the night came on drives immediately after the Seahawks scored touchdowns. Both mistakes gave Seattle great field position and they added 10 more points to their final total because of the Vikings’ two blunders.

The Seahawks entered Week 13 with the third-most forced turnovers in the league and they used their elite takeaway skills to help hand Minnesota their fourth loss of the season.
