Cook lost himself a bunch of money in Seattle

In his first season that hasn’t been hampered by injuries, Dalvin Cook has been playing at a level this year that has some thinking he deserves some MVP consideration.

Cook’s night in Seattle got off to a pretty good start with a touchdown run in the first quarter that gave the Vikings their first points of the matchup. However, the Minnesota running back went down with a chest injury midway through the third quarter and he didn’t return for the rest of the game.

Cook and the Vikings thought they were past having to deal with the running back missing time due to injuries this season. However, Monday night’s injury proves that Cook’s health is still an issue and it will likely be one for the rest of his NFL career.

Minnesota’s young running back was likely playing himself into a lucrative contract extension this offseason, but his exit on Monday night might put that on hold. At the very least, the Vikings will likely make sure any new deal they give Cook is packed full of incentives.

He is an extremely talented player and one of the best running backs in the league when he’s healthy. Unfortunately for Cook, injuries could be something that prevents him from ever reaching his full potential.
