Cousins isn’t the guy to blame for this loss

As much as ESPN tried to shove it down everyone’s throats on Monday, Kirk Cousins was not why the Vikings fell to the Seahawks.

Cousins finished his night with 276 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception that, once again, was a result of Stefon Diggs bobbling the ball. Without their quarterback in Seattle, Minnesota would have lost Monday night’s game by a lot more than just seven points.

For someone who has taken a bunch of the blame for the Vikings’ struggles since he arrived last year, it’s pretty hard for people to place the loss against the Seahawks on Cousins, even for those that aren’t very fond of the Minnesota quarterback.

With the way the defense has struggled during the last few weeks, Cousins’ play has been a big reason for why the Vikings’ are currently in great shape to earn a spot in the playoffs. And if Minnesota ends up making any noise in the postseason, it will likely have a lot to do with the performance of their quarterback as well.
