What did we learn about the Minnesota Vikings from their performance in a victory over the Detroit Lions inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday?

In the NFL, a win is a win and it typically doesn’t matter how they come about. On Sunday against the Detroit Lions, the Minnesota Vikings certainly did not have their best game of the 2019 season. But the Vikings were able to still walk off the field with a victory and improve their record to 9-4.

Minnesota had control for the majority of their matchup with the Lions and a win never really seemed like it was in danger of not happening for the purple and gold.

Of course, the Vikings were facing a disappointing Detroit team who came into Sunday with only three wins this season. So Minnesota winning this week is something that was expected by most and they went out and just got the job done to come away with a victory over the Lions.

With the win, the Vikings are still in a great position to make the playoffs this year. At this point in the season, Minnesota could finish with 12 wins and still enter the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the NFC.

During their victory over Detroit on Sunday, the Vikings showed a few things out on the field that should improve their chances of not being a one-and-done team if they earn a spot in the postseason.

So after getting their second win of 2019 over the Lions, what were some of the biggest takeaways from the Vikings’ performance this week?
